XL Airways

XL Airways is one of the UK's major charter passenger airlines and provides mainly short-haul services to European and Middle Eastern leisure destinations, from its three bases of London Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow. The airline operates an all Boeing fleet which totals 26 aircraft for the Summer 2007 season. XL Airways sells the majority of its capacity through XL Aviation and Freedom Flights to tour operators and brokers.

XL Aviation

XL Aviation represents the commercial sales division of the Excel Group and is subdivided into two business units.

The Inclusive Tour sales unit arranges seat capacity, in bulk, to Tour Operators and long-standing broking clients, including some of the largest Holiday Companies in the UK.

In the financial year to 31 October 2005, approximately 2.5 million seats were sold to tour operators. Approximately 65 per cent of these were supplied by XL Airways with the balance being supplied by third party airlines.

XL24 is the broking and chartering unit and deals with other airline operators, brokers and other institutions. Offering a wide variety of aircraft charter services, utilising not only XL Airways aircraft, but also those of many other carriers worldwide, XL24 is recognised as one the leading suppliers of aircraft capacity in the industry. XL24 is a trading name of XL Aviation.

XL.com

XL.com is one of the leading travel websites and features 50 destinations from 12 UK airports. It sells flights, holidays, hotels, car hire, travel insurance and holiday extras.

Freedom Flights

Freedom Flights is a seat only operator selling seats on charter aircraft, generally through UK travel agents. It does not sell or arrange accommodation. Freedom Flights currently offers seats on flights from London Gatwick and a number of UK regional airports, including Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Newcastle, Belfast, Stansted and Humberside.

Excel Aviation and Freedom Flights are each bonded by the CAA with an ATOL (Air Transport Organisers License), providing security for customers.

Aspire

Aspire is a collection of worldwide luxury holidays for the contemporary traveller. Destinations include Europe, Caribbean, Northern Africa, South Africa, Middle East, Indian Ocean and Far East. A stylish brochure and a dedicated website feature hotels, private villas, train journeys and cruises. Flights are predominately with scheduled carriers. Aspire is sold 80% directly to customers and 20% through travel agents and is also bonded by ATOL.
